Censure recommended for Camden municipal court judge Jones-Tucker

TRENTON – A judicial-review panel has recommended censure for the chief judge of Camden’s municipal court.

Judge Christine Jones-Tucker exhibited “misconduct” in interactions with a prosecutor and a defense attorney handling a DWI case in 2016 and 2017, according to the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct.

In an order issued Friday, the Supreme Court said the review board found “clear and convincing” evidence that Jones-Tucker had failed to observe multiple rules in her actions in the courtroom and in her behavior towards others.

The judge, identified at the court’s website as Christine C.J. Tucker, could not be reached for comment.
