Medford schools superintendent answers to DUI charge

MEDFORD — Superintendent Joseph Del Rossi appeared in Maple Shade Municipal Court on Monday to address his pending DUI case and was told to return next month.

The matter was pushed to Aug. 20 due to a lack of investigative documentation that Judge Corey Ahart previously ordered sent from Evesham.

“We need discovery from Evesham. Evesham needs discovery from Medford,” he said.

Del Rossi’s attorney, John Sitzler, said he is still awaiting information pertaining to machines in both municipalities that tested the superintendent’s breath for evidence of alcohol consumption following a Feb. 26 motor vehicle accident. Evesham’s police report indicates Del Rossi was over the legal limit.
